Staffed Community Residences

Fidelity House provides opportunities for small group living in 16 homes located throughout the Merrimack Valley. These homes are staffed 24 hours a day and provide a safe and supportive environment as needed by the individual residents. Direct support professionals assist each person in developing skills needed to care for themselves and their home and to participate fully in the life of their community.

Individual Support Services

Fidelity House serves men and women living in their own apartments, alone, with a roommate, or with spouses and children. Staff supports are determined by individual preferences and need. Skill teaching typically includes areas such as money management, health care, menu planning, and parenting. People are supported to explore social and recreational resources in their communities. Individual Support Services is a flexible model that responds to the changing needs of the people served. It includes an emergency on-call system, which provides access to 24-hour staff support.

Specialized Home Care

Fidelity House Specialized Home Care focuses on the unique attributes and needs of the individual. Services are customized to assist those who choose to live either with a roommate or within a family. This service is growing in popularity since, by design, it enhances a person's ability to build solid relationships within the structure of an established household. The model promotes both independence and interdependence as individuals actively participate in the life of their communities. Once an individual chooses Specialized Home Care, Fidelity House works with them to establish a match with a family or roommate. The best homecare providers share the individual's interests, have many family and social ties, and have an interest in enhancing their household with the addition of a new member. Fidelity House provides ongoing support and monitoring to both the individual and the homecare provider as they share their home and lives.
