Intensive In-Home Services and Family Support

The Intensive Flexible Family Support (IFFS) Program assists children ages 3 – 18 whose communication and behavior challenges make it difficult for the family to provide care. The goal of the program is to keep the child in his or her familiar environment rather than being placed in a residential program. During the 20+ years that FHCRC has offered the IFFS program in Lawrence, Methuen, Haverhill and 68 cities and towns across Northeastern Massachusetts, 95% of the children served have been able to stay at home with their family.

The DESE/DDS Program is designed to provide in-home and community-based therapeutic support to students ages 6 to 22, who demonstrate the highest need for services to prevent an out-of-home placement. Funding for this Program is subject to an annual legislative appropriation from the state budget. Fidelity House CRC has offered the DESE/DDS program for 15 years and has assisted hundreds of families during that time.

The Agency With Choice (AWC) Program is intended for adults with developmental disabilities who have the highest level of need. Beginning with an assessment of daily needs, Fidelity House CRC staff assists with the development of goals and objectives designed to keep an individual in his or her home. Fidelity House CRC provides in-home services such as behavioral consultation, skills instruction, day programming, and respite care. Families select and schedule in-home service providers and partner with Fidelity House CRC on planning, training, and supervision. Fidelity House CRC has a track record of success with the AWC approach.
