On December 7, 2016, 180 employees and guests attended the agency’s 45th Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors and Employee Recognition Breakfast held at Salvatore’s in Lawrence. 110 employees were recognized for five or more years of service culminating with the coveted John F. Wallace Service Excellence award.
Board Chair Andrew Novelline, presented the Wallace Award to employees Gabriel Ansong of Methuen and Michael Mwangi of Lowell. Wanda Gomez, Vice President of Residential Services coworkers nominated Gabriel because he “has a calming and positive influence on everyone he interacts with.“
Mwangi was honored for his tactfulness earning the trust of adults with autism and for his “quiet strength”.
