National Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week

September 8 – 14, 2019 is Direct Support Professionals Recognition Week!

The American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) is leading the national effort of DSP week and has been working with the U.S Senate to get a Senate Proclamation for this dedicated week. Massachusetts’ Sens. Elizabeth Warren and Edward Markey have signed onto this resolution and Gov. Baker has issued this proclamation every September since he has been in office.

National Direct Support Professionals Recognition (DSP) Week is a national effort to recognize direct support professionals and highlight the dedicated workforce that comprises the heart and soul of supporting persons with disabilities.

DSPs have a number of responsibilities that impact the lives of patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Here at Fidelity House CRC, this week September 8-14, we are celebrating their hearts and the work they do to support people with disabilities. Thank you DSPs!
