Fidelity House CRC’s Community Based Day Services (CBDS) participates in Northern Essex Community College Soft “Skills in the Workplace” program.

Northern Essex Community College (NECC) is a public community community college with campuses located in Haverhill and Lawrence.  NECC’s mission is to unlock potential, empower and provide innovative opportunities for each of their students. Their seven Core Values include: student engagement, collaboration, personal and professional growth, respect, culture of inclusion, access and opportunity and excellence. With these Core Values in mind, NECC offers an array of credit associate degree courses, certificate programs and noncredit workforce development and community education classes.

Pictured above are Lindsay, Lily, Jose and Kyle, who are four of twelve participants from Fidelity House CRC’s Community Based Day Services (CBDS) that are taking advantage of the courses and programs offered by NECC in Haverhill. They are currently participating in a 6 week class on “Soft Skills in the Workplace”. Topics discussed in the course include: communication, conflict resolution, social skills and body language. Participants will also be given campus ID’s to utilize student space on campus while participating in the class.
