Special Stars Music and Movement

DESCRIPTION: Special Stars is a performing arts program that offers adaptive singing, dancing, and acting classes for those with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism. All classes include a series of vocal warm ups and group/solo songs, dancing and movement, as well as games and music activities. Skills learned during class include, but are not limited to, social skills, self-expression, creativity, focus, following directions, cooperating/encouraging others, physical mobility, and musical skills. Individuals must be able to participate in a 1:4 ratio. Parent or guardian must remain in the building.
AGE LEVEL: 12 and up
