Massachusetts Advocates Standing Strong (MASS) is a state-wide, self-advocacy organization run for and by people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The board of directors, many of the staff members and most of the trainers are all individuals with disabilities.

Chair of MASS, Derek Spear, presented his story to all in attendance at Fidelity House CRC Community Awards Night on Wednesday October 23. Derek is an enthusiastic self-advocate and invited all to attend MASS’s monthly meeting on Wednesday, November 20, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm.

Congratulations Derek for a wonderful speech and for all the important work you are doing with MASS Advocates. You are truly an inspiration to others!

The MASS meeting is for those interested in self-advocacy for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and the main topic of discussion is how to advocate for your health. Located at the Seven Hills administration offices at 261 N Main Street in Middleton, the location is accessible by the RIDE.
