Berkeley Place

A progressive residence for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities who require 24 x 7 support. 

Fidelity House has a NEW option for young adults with behavioral challenges who have aged out of the school system. Berkeley Place offers unique supports and opportunities as follows:

  • A sense of community developed through family visits and opportunities for all families to get to know each other
  • Custom design for people with sensitivity to light and noise. Decor includes carefully chosen texture, and a soothing color scheme. Berkeley Place has a a calm atmosphere and many “safe spaces” throughout
  • Nutritious menus based on individual dietary needs and preferences
  • Opportunities for social connections in the community by attending public events, special interest activities, church, employment, and support groups
  • Health and wellness encouraged with on-site exercise equipment, local gym memberships, and plenty of time outdoors
  • Family members and staff will work with a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) to reinforce good behavior and create a comprehensive and supportive behavior plan

There are two prerequisites for the Fidelity House Human Services Berkeley Place. See below for details.

Your family member must have a letter of eligibility from the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS). For information on becoming DDS eligible, go to the Application for DDS Eligibility.

Your family member has a referral from the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) or the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission specifically for a Community Residence.
