Youth Pre-Employment

Pre-employment skills.

The Youth Pre-Employment program serves students between the ages of 14-22, who are currently enrolled in high school or post-secondary school and have a documented disability such as an Individual Education Plan, 504 plan or diagnosis of a specific disability.

Each student meets weekly in small groups to complete a pre-employment training and soft skills curriculum. A Fidelity House CRC Career Specialist works collaboratively with each student to identify skills, interests and career goals.  Over the course of the program, the students are able to develop their interests and gain confidence in their ability to hold a job.

The program is based on five core services:

  1. Work based learning
  2. Job exploration counseling
  3. Workplace readiness training
  4. Self-advocacy and mentoring
  5. Post-secondary education/training counseling

We conduct classes in schools in the North Shore and Merrimack Valley, and after school classes are held once per week in Lynn and our Fidelity House CRC Landmark location at 76 Merrimack Street in Haverhill.
